- Danny Foley Added 2018-02-19★ ★ ★ ★ ★We had a wonderful nine day stay. Daniel, our host, was there to welcome us when we arrived. He provided us a tour of the house and made a number of recommendations for places to visit on the island and in the city. Daniel was very accommodating and available as needed during our stay. He checked in with us occasionally to see if we needed anything or had any questions.
The house has a full kitchen with both gas and electric stove. The upstairs bedroom has an enormous bathroom complete with a claw foot tub and a separate shower. Additionally, the upstairs bedroom opens onto an upper level porch overlooking the river. My favorite feature was the fire pit in the back yard. While we didn’t have any fires, it was very relaxing to sit back in the chairs and enjoy the view.
If you are flying into Quebec, you will need a rental car, as the house is located on an island. The house is conveniently located, making it ideal for day excursions and returning for a quick rest before going out to dinner. The travel time into Old Quebec City is approximately 25 minutes.
